According to the official data a French boy tried his best and made a translation of the 7th book about Harry Potter, moreover he located it in Internet, where everybody had an opportunity to “get acquainted” with it.

The police have arrested a 16-years-old pupil of high school from the city on the South of France. This boy was kept under the charge for 3 days. The young translator was released just right after the preliminary investigation.

“He made this translation not because of money, he is just a big and devoted fan of Harry Potter and he wanted everybody to be able to read it as quickly as possible”, said the Judge.

But there are some suggestions that there could be a team of professional “Potter-fans”, spending days and hours onto translation. If it turned to be true, they will pay tremendous penalties. The release time of the official translation is October.

By the way, there were no suits from Joan Rowling side. In the United Kingdom the 7th book about Harry Potter adventures – Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – set new records of sale. During the first hour there were sold 50,000 of books (according to the Waterstone’s chain of stores information).

as for me, I am a representative of English-speaking world and fortunately I can buy original version of the book, but I think it is not fair to people which don’t know English. Why it is not possible for author to write and for translators to translate simultaneously?
